Very nice, your modular system is working out very well.

Huzzah! I love it, of course!

I used a beautiful blue-grey on my roofs. They're slate though. I'd probably go more of a rusty red for the clay tiles, as they would've been terracotta in the real world. Also, be careful not to do them too bright, or the eye will be drawn to the roofs, especially if you want to use them as a display.

Your loved ones let you use the slate counter top? Mine would kill me...

That is a good point. A deep maroon highlighted with progressively lighter shades of red should work (not too bright, of course!!)

One more quick update before I paint this sucker!

As you can see the hedges have been finished. Again, these are just a few layers of cut scouring pads glued together, soaked in wood glue, and tossed in a secret recipe of turfs and flocks from woodland scenics.

Two updates in one day?? You bet.

Here are a few WIP updates leading to the (almost) finished piece.

All that is left to do is put a few detail pieces on the buildings (banners and flags) and give another highlight or two to the blue roof.

A day off from work and heavy snowfall work wonders on productivity!! And also, I'm not sure how I missed your earlier comment, but yes, the modularity of these pieces and the board in general is not only a necessity for space considerations, but also for the fact that I did not want boredom to set in after a few games on the board!

I'm so happy you chose a nice slate colour for that roof, it looks splendid. Now you've got me itching for that Bell Tower mould! Curses, you'll lead a girl to sin... :gollum:
