I found a good board recently which I decided I would use for gaming. Although a problem has occured. How can I get a grass effect that sticks to the board and dosen't fall off every time you pick it up.

Help please!

Do you mean besides gluing on flock and static grass?

As Whafrog said, static grass and flock are great for that. If you're having trouble getting it to stay, try giving the board a spray of scenic cement. All scenic cement is is a mixture of water and glue. That should do the trick for you.

The short answer is you can't some will always fall off. Have no fear this will help a lot. After you glue down your material wait for it to dry. Then over spray with watered down carpenters glue. There are commercial products that work well. Home made works fine.
Tips:
use an old plastic cleaning spray bottle.
Do it out side.
Don't use white glue. Trust me.
Water down the glue until it will spray. adding a drop of liquid soap will help( wetting agent)

I use something flock like i guess...
what works well for me is putting some glue on
then press a lot of the flock on it till it's completely covered push a bit on it. then i turn it over so the most of the big pieces that aren't sticking fall off Then i let it dry for few minutes. And after that i just rub with my fingers over the flock. Everything that doesn't stick on it comes of. Could take a while , maybe this isn't the best way. But so far so good it's working for me.

try the below site
It's from Antenociti's workshop and gives a fantastic example af how to build layers and depth into your grass

I intend to use this idea on my Mumak Diorama in my WIP

Drying time will depend on how detailed and how many textures and colors you use.The final spray over should dry over night.

The more detail you put on a playing surface the faster it will wear out.
