I know nobody goes to competitions from this forum :p But GW announced at the doubles this year that they will be running a LOTR campaign weekend next year. There are no details at all yet, but might be something you are interested in thats not just a random 700pt battle. |

Thanks for posting it Dave. I really hope they do something like this - it's about time that LOTR got a bit of love. I suppose it will be the War of the Ring, given that it's their primary focus. Let's all get behind this and see if we can get a good representation from OR and TLA gamers there. I'm happy to promote it as much as possible and lend whatever support I can. |

I very much doubt that it will be a WOTR affair, there were only 12 takers at that GT. The campaigns are pretty informal, fun affairs and they run them all the time for historicals and will be drawing on those events to organise the LOTR one. I wouldn't be suprised if the campaign involved both WOTR and SBG battles along with a more skirmishy affair using the Fellowship, but the SBG games will be certain. |

Same, i plan on going to my first GW event up in nottingham next year and this one sounds like a great way to attend without getting "served" by the regulars XD |
