Even though the Kickstarter died, Warlord are quietly working away in the background - they have been showing minis on their site and Rick P has been talking about it on the Warlord site and at their open days.

The kickstarter died for so many reason, some big and some small. But the concept is interesting and the production values are out of this world (heheh, see what I did there). It must've been a helluva wake-up call to Warlord and Rick himself when the KS failed.

The rules will be based on Bolt Action, which is probably a good thing. It's a simple game that flows well and allows a result in a reasonable amount of time and, above all, is fun to play. I'm keen to see how it all comes together.

I love the idea of the rules, but am really quite disappointed with the models they've shown so far. They've gone for an infinity type aesthetic (albeit without the cheesecake manga vibe), but don't come anywhere near the sculpt quality. I think they'd have been better off trying to do something a bit more original with the concept art than generic future/manga.

I don't enjoy being negative, but what the hell are these:

I love Rick Priestley, and I play Bolt Action too, and think it's a great game. I really WANT to like this project, but as many said at the time of the kickstarter, the visuals just don't excite at all.

Boromites. Sounds like something you spread on bread... or was that Marmite? I keep thinking of the rocky guy from The Fantastic Four when I see these.
