Just got one of these

Great value at £13 and no p&p because I was working near Lowestoft and called in. Great shop, you name a model kit, they have it

Is there anyone in Kent/Sussex who plays? I really fancy giving this a go - before I buy a full German army!

Bolt Action to go tank mad in 2014 - watch this:

And on the Warlord site, bigger discounts on tanks and vehicles for March.

Something I could only have dreamed of has happened: Italaeri and Warlord working together so Italaeri will produce a horde of 1:56 scale vehicle kits.
More information here:
http://www.warlordgames.com/warlord-gam ... rtnership/
The first two 1:56 scale vehicles to be made available in plastic between the two companies will be the classic M4 Sherman medium tank and the deadly Panther Ausf. A, with many more already in the pipeline.

Fantastic news, also Italaeri are now owned by Tamiya. Really looking forward to seeing these.

More news - Puma and Cromwell to be released and Italaeri will sell Warlord infantry - I think in individually or 2 per boxed sprues judging from the numbers involved:

Well that just ups my excitement. The option to play pure armored battles sounds great! Simply adding more ways to play the game. And more ways for my T-34's to stream - roll everyone!!!!

Steamroll... he means steamroll.
Unless Stream rolling is some new-fangled craze I have not heard of :)
Ignore the Tiger waiting for the T-34's....

Excellent stuff, looking forward to the new Bolt Action tank rules coming in the summer along with the new "Road to Berlin" supplement

I hope Italaeri bring out plastic 1:56 scale accessories to go with the vehicles - more adhoc stowage, jerrycans, British tinnies, ammo boxes, tarps, rolled up camouflage nets and that sort of stuff that adds a 'lived-in' look to any vehicle. They already do some of this stuff at other scales - http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/review.aspx?id=345

The Tamiya 1/48th stuff is really good, the ww2 sign posts are really good for Bolt Action. I find the Warlord plastic kits I have made so far are abit on the small side.

Tamiya - great company. I had many 1:35 scale kits from them. But while 1:48 scale vehicles look ok with the 28mm figures, they are actually too big plus they take up a bit more storage space whether at home or on the move. I would prefer the actual scales to match up all the way across the board, though if there is something simply not available in 1:56 (like landing craft) I may just take the available kit.

Post subject:  Re: Bolt Action WWII Skirmish

the size difference does not show, the Tamiya 1/48 figures are the same height as Warlord 28mm, just Tamiya are skinnier, a different "look".

The 1.48th vehicles look fine as well IMO, the Warlord Hanomag is stupidly to small and the M3A1 the same, no way could crew fit in the back. the driver figure with the USA M3A1 wont even fit in properly.

Next time i can a camera i will take some pics
