I spent ages on him and I think this is probably the best I've ever painted anything. Just a shame about the face though, it must have gotten a bit squashed during the conversion so it doesn't have much of a facial resemblance to movie Aragorn. Ah well!

Started painting the huntsman last night, going for very brown and green tones for his armour and equipment. Photos to come!

I tend to sand all my guys and drybrush it a million shades of brown. Quick and easy to do. little bit of flock here and there. Not really the best to ask, I'm lazy when it comes to bases.

Aragorn looks excellent, can totally envision him leading a bunch of rangers!! :)
The Rohan Huntsman is also brilliant! The pose is truly inspired and the sculpting is great! :)

Thanks, Oldman Willow!

Here are some pics of the finished forest base. The base is covered in sand, the root was made from toilet paper, the foliage is ogryn flesh/devlan mud-washed oregano (haha) and the greenery is moss from the garden. Will be using this style for Aragorn later!

I like your huntsman conversion, the base also adds very nicely as it looks like the huntsman has been captured mid-hunt, very nice :-D

Hello everyone, excuse the lack of updates, it's been a very busy week and I've had no time to reach for the paintbrushes!
I've received quite a few heroes of Rohan over the last 10 days and now I'm trying to paint my way through them, first off is Merry, Esquire of Rohan:

Thankfully, he didn't take too long!
That 'only' leaves Eowyn, Gamling, a standard bearer and a Rohan outrider to go. Could take a while...

Next up: Gamling Mounted (I'm already dreading the Royal Standard!)
