Ah yes... I have see some Morannon orcs clothes painted like they ahd the light of spirit... It was the same colors as the army of the dead... I don't remember where it was but they were awesome...

Hi, I play a mordor army and I have the usual problem of a lack of variety in my mordor orcs. I'v spent a fair bit of time making some conversions (adding flaming torches, heavy chainmail etc) but I would like to get a variety into my colour scheme. I play morannon orcs and think the dark red on their clothing gives them a great look and thought about using some of my other orcs to make a themed unit, maybe a minas morgul theme with some ghostly greens. I tried this with my ringwraiths, and painted them to look like they were lit from underneath by a glowing green light similar to the dead city, and was real pleased with the results. I'd like to do someting similar with my orcs but focus on the clothing not light effects. Does anyone have any suggestions? Pics would be great. |

try painting the deep folds of clothe in a dark green and with a slightly lighter highlight on the higher folds and then maybe a final light green higlight
