Hey guys, and welcome to my plainly named Work in Progress thread! (:

I am currently constructing a Moria Goblin Army and I have twelve Moria goblins (three 'completed') and a Durburz on the way.

The quality is poor as I need to find the connector cable for my camera. :(

Note: These guys have only had their first coat and I will attempt to fix any imperfections.

None taken! They are my first models so I didn't expect much (:

I will work on a new hair colour but at the moment it's the best i've got.

As your first models, these are great. A tip with the camera, look for a macro button (it's usually a little flower icon) and turn it on because it gives but sharper and clearer pictures. Not to say yours are bad, they were certainly better than my fist attempts.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks alot Cyndra. These photos were taken from my mobile phone as I have lost the connector cable from my Digital Camera to the Laptop. I will search for that and get clearer pictures next time.

By the way, what do you guys think of the bases? It's the first time I have based models.

Thanks! I have only done Moria bases so far, but if you want tips you can give me a P.M?

And we can always discuss stuff on the forum. :)

Hey GotC and Welcome to the forums. Believe I haven't seen you around.

Your Moria goblins are looking very good and the basing looks right up my street, is that spur you've added for rocks? Well at the moment my only suggestion could be to maybe give the armor a black wash to bring out some of the detail and also add some rusted bits (being in those dark/damp caves doesn't help the armor much, ehe) Did you buy the Mines of Moria box? For your first model by the way that is just fantastic! so much better than my first one anywhoo.

Thanks for the welcome, I am new so that's probably why you haven't saw me around.

Yes, I saw the spur-for-brick technique in an old BGiME magazine and thought I would try it out and I think it's pretty effective. With regards to the armour washing these models aren't complete as there are still little black areas which need filled in and such, one that stage has been done I will give them all a good wash.

As for your other question, no I didn't purchase the Mines of Moria set. I purchased the LOTR SBG Paint Set. This came with twelve goblins and all the paints I would need to paint them.

You asked me to comment, and I will :) I like your moria goblins, they have a very rough feel to them, which is good, because they actually look as if they have lived underground (unlike my MG, which look as if they work for the circus). Great job, very neat too

Thank you for the kind words Ritcherd.

I have completed all twelve now and I have Durburz leading them. I also found a Mordor Orc and I have painted him up and he's probably my best piece of work so far, I will be sure to upload him as quick as possible.
