Looks great! The one thing I would add is some more foliage to both the mini and the base, but that's just me.

I thought about that Jake, but decided that I just didn't want to clutter up such a beautiful piece...even the display base he comes with is wonderful so I left off alot of the static grass I wanted to put on. Thanks for the comment brother! :D

I could be wrong Dave but it looks to me that you haven't used all of the branches. Were you going for a more simplified version? Still, looks good. Thanks for the free plug on your blog. I have to do some serious thinking about the future of MBM this year and it is comments like yours that remind me why I set it up in the first place.

Thanks Dave! :)
I am pretty sure I used all the branches...put him together so long ago that I cannot remember now if I didn't add them all at the time.
I know that running your own business like MBM on the side must be an enormous job, but I do hope that you continue with MBM as you have a loyal customer for life here my friend! :D

Thanks for your support Dave. Trouble is I can't really afford to put money up front for the moulding and other supplies like I used to do. Metal has gone up. Shipping has gone up. Tax has gone up meaning more expensive supplies. Household bills have gone up and I have a salary freeze. It may surprise you to know that I only make 9% net profit from the sale price of the minis, and that isn't really worth all the hassle. I could make more selling sculpts to other manufacturers. That way I would have minimal overheads. I don't want to put up my prices but unless I do it will be the end for MBM sadly. Anyhow, enough of my problems!

Love your work Dave (both of you 8) ).
The Tree Giant is very nicely painted. You're right though Dave (BotWT), the model is so beautiful it doesn't need to be made prettier!

Dave (ukfb), it would be a REAL shame if MBM doesn't live on. I understand the reasons but it would be sad indeed if you close the doors...

I kinda figured that costs would be tough on a small one man miniature company and a 9% profit really almost doesn't justify putting all the work into it. I hope that MBM hangs on, but can completely understand if you have to end MBM. Keeping my fingers crossed that there is some way to keep MBM going. Would resin models be a cheaper way to go (production wise) or are they too much of a hassle to make sure they mould correctly?

That is how most of the sculptors I know have to manage their business.
