I love the dark colors for orc skin tones.

Although I don't recall Arwen ever being captured by orcs. Does that actually happen?

No, it was actually the case of Arwen's mother Celebrían. She was rescued but never fully healed until she left Middle-earth and went to the West.

Oh, and the painting and everything else is great, Barbar, excellent job 8)

Really good work barbar! You took most of the coolest orc models of the LOTR range! Amazing painting and basing as I already said before!

Yes, I remembered that, but I thought maybe I forgot about something that happened to Arwen.

So Barbar, what made you go: "Oh this is Arwen being captured"? I like the concept and execution, just interested in the thoughts behind it. :)

The 'kidnapping' diorama is stunning (in more ways than one). Your basing and terrain work has a realistic feel to it, very much like the hill and mountain terrain I have wandered across for many years. The minis themselves are beautifully painted (in their orcish style). Bombur and Bilbo are great - the little bits and pieces on the bases really make it fascinating. Great work!

Apparently PJ is terrified of spiders, so while directing and editing the scenes with Shelob must have been tough, imagine how hard he is finding the Mirkwood spider scenes, where there are lots of the annoying arachnids running around.
And he would freak out at that lot above! They are suitably scary themselves, and the detail on the bases is amazing. Very well done! The big one looks like it is about to pounce on some unfortunate soul.

The bones are casts from the Hobbit starterset.

I have to say, your basing and scenery is amazing. Very inspiring, and really ties the models together. I especially like the scatter and minor detail work you've put in. Great stuff.

Nice work (as usual) on Tauriel and I concur with the others, your basing and scenics are great.
