For the nmm on the elf, you could try layering some Snakebite Leather again in the deeper recesses. It helps me a lot to smooth it all.
Very often, just before I do Snakebite Leather again, the results isn't really satisfying, but after applying the darker Snakebites again, it turns out totally different!
You could give it a try aswell (just don't kill me if it doesn't work...) ;-)

or only watered down snakebite(just like ink)?

Everything is looking great so far :) Sadly I've kinda lost interest in the beacon at the moment, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask TheBucklandBrewer or myself (TBB made an article about his... sadly it's on TLA, which isn't working at the moment)

Keep it up!

the whole thing has now a stone structure^^

where should i put the robes of the beacon(if i may ask)
cause in the movie you see robes holding the wood and the fire, but not where it is attached to the building

well, best thing is to make the rope end up close to the stairs, so it will easily get lit without the gards burning themself on the stake...

There's only one idiot in the world who would attach the ropes on the back, where the cliff is... only one ... and he does not share his stupidity...

and this ranger isnt really a wip but i just wanted to show you all it because with this ranger i was the runner-up by our local store^^ (they have a competition running called the lord of the paints and they give you each month a different miniature (first lord of the rings, second month warhammer 40k, third month warhammer and then again lord of the rings) and the only month i participated so far was the lord of the rings: ranger, and got second so it was pretty nice, and here's the model:

The beacon is looking really great. You'll definitely have something to be proud of when it is finished!

Congratulations on getting 2nd place in the painting competition, as well. Basing miniatures makes such a difference in the overall finished work. Even if the miniature is just a black undercoat, having finished bases adds so much.

The beacon is really coming on well! 8) I really like all the extra details on the bridge and the inclusion of the buildings. You're not just building the beacon on its own, you're setting a whole scene around it - a proper diorama! :yay:

And well done on coming second in the competition, good luck for the next one!

Great work on the beacon. I'm just wondering how it will fit into a game, but it looks great anyways. I'm looking forwards to seeing the finished product as well as some other minis by you. Good luck.

It's coming along nicely. I take it this is the start and you will slowly add the rest of the city ?

@ Erunion, I hope'll be proud of it when it is finished, but before it's finished it's going to take a long time because i dont work fast(i dont have much time, alas)

@King elessar, yes my idea was to make the whole scene so that's why i try to put all those little details in it/ I'm now trying to create that oven-thingy (you can see that on one of the pictures too)

@ Dwarf lord of Ered Luin, I was planning to make a mini-scenario (pippin vs 2 or 3 warriors of Minas Tirith) to play with my little brother, but i'll create that when the piece is finished, so thats going to take a while.

@ TBB, Thanks, your article on TLA was a part of the inspartion for it, shame that article is down now:O

@BrentS, Thanks, i hope you like it^^

@Gandlaf the Grey, I wish i could create Minas tirith , but i think i don't have enough room, but maybe there's a small chance i could create it^^(and that would be awesome)
