Very cool model ! So well painted :yay: I like it.

Just one comment... the sword...isn't little bended from straight line (grip with pommel) ?

Yeah, looks that way.

Very cool and I think the most realistic representation I have seen. Do you put your work up on cool mini or not?

No, I'm not on coolmini. I've always found that site rather intimidating.

Not sure exactly... around 10 hours possibly. I doubt it would take me as long to paint again as I spent a lot of time adjusting colours until I was happy. I probably basecoated the skin four times.

And here's my latest piece.

Excellent as always. Did you paint the tattoo on his head and if so could you pop a photo up of it?

Yeah, I did make a not entirely successful attempt at the tattoo.

And I finished Oin.

Very good painting you have achieved. Being so small and having so much detail these miniatures are sometimes difficult to handle.

They are indeed, I always enjoy seeing what's been painted.

Balin is the last of the BotFA dwarves to be painted until the rest are back in stock.

Here's the group so far.

Great to see these as always. They really are very good, I think Dwalin is my favourite of the latest crop!

This WIP is just amazing. One of those WIPs where you just gaze in stupefied wonder! That troll is the best we've seen.
We hope to find some time soon to paint our own Thorin and Bilbo, so it's really great to see such awesome examples!

Hello everyone. Well, I've not done as much painting as I'd like of late but that should be changing soon with lots of stuff planned.

First will hopefully be my first entry for the painting challenge in a long time.

Stunning work! I love that pose of Aragorn, and it's one that I don't have in my collection yet...

Showing some nice contrast mate, maybe a touch more mid tone in the face. Leather is looking nicely worn in. Have you tried a cross hatching method before ?

It's my favourite too. I had painted him before but was never happy with the result for such a good mini.

It's one of the techniques I picked up from the Giraldez book.

And he's finished:
