Some hours work already with this one - that's what I managed to do so far. Couldn't resist not to try some white stars on his robes, since he wanted those white jewels from dwarfs... reflecting the star light and all that Though I must admit, I am not really happy with the face. Do you guys have any idea, how to try and fix it? |

nice freehand stars! maybe this will help with the face: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzlcesM3-f0 it's a bit aimed at larger miniatures but you can use some of the steps he uses |

Well, it's been some time. And I have painted Thranduil during that period I didn't have my camera, so couldn't take photos at the time when he was finished... But managed to do it now What do you guys think? |

Prince Imrahil is really great. I also love the swan on the cape. The horn blower is also cool, I really like his tassels. I think that you should do something with the banner on the horn to make it tie in more with the rest of the model. Thranduil's robes also turned out really great. |

Had 12 Osgiliath Veterans ready to start painting them, but in the meantime I got new box, full of models So I decided that Veterans will have to wait, firstly it will be time for this troll drummer for this month painting challenge |

GreatKhanArtist wrote: Loving that skin tone. Please share the recipe? No problem. If i remember correctly, it was like this: - Basecoat: Rhinox hide - Layer of Gorthor Brown - Wash with Reikland fleshshade - Wash in recces with Agrax Earthshade - Layer with Gorthor Brown - Layer with mix of Gorthor brown and Baneblade brown - Paint stripes on skin with Baneblade Brown, then with mix of Bameblade brown and Ushabti Bone - Highlight really lightly with Ushabti Bone There may be some steps in between with different of mixes with different ratio of colours and water, but I don't remeber exactly to the point And I must say, Troll is almost finished. |

Managed to finish this troll by the end of the month, I am so happy Decided to go for the drummer, since I already have a Troll Chieftain and one Mordor Troll in my collection. So this one is more a gentle soul. An artist - hammer on his back is included just for case of emergency Though I must admit, all of his drums are made by skin of men, which he killed Any comments? |

Good work mate, just saw in the painting challenge ! Can I ask what tufts those are on the base? The lush green matches well with the static grass you've chosen there. |

Post subject: | Re: Klemzy's WIP - Oct/Nov challenge: Dead Banner 25/10/2018 |
Well, those Veterans have their armour painted so far... But they just don't seem to get finished soon I started working on a little converison for the next painting challenge. Since I already have about 20 army of the dead, I thought I might try myself in converting a banner bearer. So for now, I am just cutting hands And trying to fiugre, how all shall fit together: And I am also trying out new method for painting. So far, I always glued models to their bases and then paint. With this one, I would like to try it like having separated model and base.. Will see, how this will work |

After some struggles with green stuff, I have managed to come up with this form for my banner, as it's seen on the photo. I still have some work to do, but for now I'm just waiting for the green stuff to dry, and then fixing it. Though, I am happy, how it turned out so far. What are your thoughts? |

The banner looks great! Very fitting for the dead, and nicely damaged. I think you can give the spear head a bit more detail, but overall I really like it! |
