Heres the finished model

I had to leave most of my basing material behind because of US customs restrictions. I think when I take the dog for walks I'll keep a look out for interesting plant mater.

Lexington, ky. Fortunately we have these massive pine trees in front of the house that keep our place nice and cool and stops my paints from drying out too quickly. Even so my wet palette needs regular top ups compared to back home when it would last for days. 35 degrees C is crazy hot.

Good work!

Wow! This is unbelievable! The skin looks so smooth and soft, it might even look more like normal skin than the movie's CGI!
This must have taken so many layers. Amazingly well done! :yay:

Ridiculously good. I'm waiting for him to move, it's that realistic a job.

Perfect. It might not be the apropriate attribute to a troll, but: lovely! ^^

Here's an early wip of my last troll.

Hi MMS. What basing material did you use on your troll for the bushes?

It's called blended turf from basecraft. it's quite a fine material that I built up in layers.

I think it was about 3-4 months ago you made the move for better painting and my word how you have developed. You have developed quicker than I thought you could and each piece you show is full of new creativity. From light source to blending to glazing its all a treat to behold.
You have my full appreciation at what you have done and long may this continue.

Amazing paintjob, especially the skin!
Did to use the layering technique, how did you do the skin exactly?
