Thanks. It's one of my favourite Hobbit models so far. The scuplting on the beard and hair is excellent and was really fun to paint. |

Hi pal, your faces are awesome Ive on more then one occasion ruined a decnt paintjob when it comes to the face..... Any chance of a step by step guide on your techniques??? Keep up the good work mate. |

I think I made a post earlier on about my approach but a step by step would be difficult because I'm not very methodical and tend to go back and forth between shading, mid tone and highlights until I'm happy. I think the key is to use very thin layers and gradually build up the colour. |

Another dwarf:  I'm getting a lot more confident with the eyes and more importantly I'm finishing what I start. I guess I've been so stressed about other things that I'm not worrying so much my painting. |

Here's my attempt at painting an elf in the Hobbit film colours:   Apart from the metal I pretty much used primary and secondary colours mixed to the desired result. A fun way of painting but no use for doing more than one miniature. |
