Lots of good stuff - you are spoiling us. The dwarves look particularly great.

Feel free to spoil us some more :)

Looks great! Is that the Eye of Sauron peeping out if the shield? If so, it adds a real mysterious menace to the Easterling - it shows his fanatical service to the Dark Lord well!

Looks good. The colours work really well together to give a coherent appearance.

Thanks for the quick replies! @Eruainon the Trombonist, yes it is tthe eye of Sauron, I thought it would look cool.
@Minimal Monkey Saddle, thanks, I really like how the colors look all together, and I really like to paint them.
@Samoht, thanks!

Well, I pretty much finished the easterling kataphrakt with the banner, and was about to take pictures when I discovered that our camera was missing! We're pretty sure where it is, but won't be able to get it back until next week, so I'll try and update this thread then.
Anyway, feel free to let me know what you guys think of my work, I'm always happy to hear what you guys think.

The shading is done really well on the cloak.

So, I still don't have a camera yet, but I really want to show you guys something. So I found some pictures of Gil Galad I painted before I painted it the way I did.

Compare that with these.

What do you guys think? Did I make a good choice? Personally, I think I did, but I'm curious to know what you all think.

I think the second Gil-galad is stunning!!
The freehand is beautiful and is that NMM I see at the bottom of the cloak?

You've also done really well in getting the face right 8) :yay:

What coulour gold did you use for the armour? it has a great shine to it 8)

Nice! You did well on the face! and the freehand is really nice too! I tried to give him a star on the back too, a bit different from your's though. Maybe I should add my Gil-Galad to my WIP-gallery too ^^
Anyway, great design!

Thank you, and yes that is NMM on the bottom of the cloak. I can't remember exactly how I painted his armor, but I know I used Burnished gold, Tin Bitz, Mithril Silver, and Thrakka Green. I basically painted it with Tin Bitz, 50/50 mix of Tin Bitz and Burnished gold, Burnished Gold, then Burnished Gold and a little bit of Mithril Silver. Then I washed/glazed all of the armor with Thrakka green. I'm pretty sure that's how I did it, there may have also been a Devlan Mud wash in the early stages.

It was definitely worth it. The robes are quite difficult to make out in the before pics but the freehand gives them much better definition.

The second one looks amazing, great job. :yay:

the original one wasn't bad either, it jad an alternative colour scheme.

Is the spear bendy?

Thanks for the feedback!

I guess that depends on how you define bendy. I can bend the spear slightly, but it goes right back to its original position.

You have the resin or metal mini?

It's the resin version.

Okay, time for an actual update. I decided to move my pictures taking place to where it used to be because I was getting sick of the yellow tint I kept getting.

The banner bearer

And the archer.

The banner was super annoying to paint. For some reason, there were spots on it where the paint wouldn't "stick" so it got frustrating. I think it turned out well in spite of that difficulty.
I only have the drummer and the horses left to paint before I have a complete set. There are two extra riders and bodies as well, but I'll save those for later.

Please let me know what you think.
