The cavalry only has the colour blocking done: next up will be all the washes and glazes followed by highlights and details. I think the horses will all be light grey verging on white!

Put me down for some Fallen Dwarves and some Evil Men. Without having time to read all the previous 10 pages (sorry!), how might I be able to get me mits on some of those amazing minis? :boromir

You can get the Fallen Dwarves from Anvil Industries here:

Thanks, Crucium. Very neat figures and well-priced.

Edit: MOTN...are the Fallen Dwarf characters still available from you in metal??

Out of production at the moment I'm afraid, might be done in resin by Anvil Industry in the future though!

Quick test for some wood elves - basic tabletop quality will do for me! Foliage still to be added. I'll do a tutorial it was extremely easy, I could paint a ton of these.

Trying to reconcile them with the Galadhrim wariors by giving them blue grey cloaks. I'm reasoning that they're the basic citizen reserves or scouts whilst the armoured elves are the warrior class (hence the striking red and blue uniforms).

Lovely paint job! I'm like you, in that a good tabletop standard is good enough for me. I have no delusions that I'll ever hoist a Golden Demon award.

I like how the blue ties them together and a very nice job on him (much better than my tabletop standard).

The elves look great. It's good to see elves painted in the right colours. For some reason, GW always got the colour scheme of the elves wrong - especially the armoured elves. Nice work.

Going back to the Fallen Dwarf characters for a second - please do get Anvil to cast some up! - any idea if/when that might happen? I really want to get some! Very characterful pieces and will make great Blacklocks/Dourhands.

Some WIP's here, still lots and lots to do on the Galadhrim Knights. The orc is a test paint job, I'll be doing about 40 so just want a quick and effective colour scheme.

Galadhrim looking clean and sharp and the Orc suitably grubby.

Hit the nail on the head, love the scheme you use for the Galadhrim.

Cheers folks.

I'm really fond of the Galadhrim Knights but they are quite time consuming to paint! A load of orcs done slap dash, loose and messy will be required as a break when the knights are finished!

Something a bit different for me: terrain!!

I've not played a game (of anything) in about 9 years or so but hoping to try and change that soon, first I'll need something to play on...

4x4 Woodland Glade mat by gamemat.eu. Brilliant product, like a giant fabric mouse mat. No creasing, no odd rubber smell, soft to lean on, flexible yet really super strong.

This is all very early days yet and just has the basic colour blocking and washing/shading done. I'll be painting the green to match the mat, and I need to add more highlights, shading and weathering to the ruins. Followed by overgrown bushes and ivy.

The rocks are dried out bark and I sculpted the steps and paving from air drying clay.

I've decided to retrofit these bits of wood I had intended to use as rocks into a fantasy forest!

All very simple, green card, corrugated as a means to hold the glue and foliage better, glued into place (hot glue gun onto support struts- old matchsticks), lathered in PVA then clump foliage stuck into place.

Patience is a requirement: I need to mist the canopy with a woodland scenic spray and adhesive I got, likely a few coats to make it all secure. Then I'll go in and cover up the patches I've missed, probably with a different coloured green just to break it all up a little. After reading up on it I think multiple thin layers are the best approach when it comes to securing everything in place with the with the adhesive mist... so I'll do 4 or 5 layers.

Couple more big tree's like that will sort me out with a decent forest!

Wow really like the Trees and Ruins. I may have to ''borrow'' your ideas when I get around to making a board.

Those trees are brilliant. Some of the best I've seen.

Very Fangorn look like!

Looking forward to see more as you progress with it all.
