Thanks for the compliments folks.

It will probably be well after the summer before these are all finished and available, I just shipped off all the Fallen Dwarf characters to the mold maker, who is away on holiday the entire month of June.

Hopefully that gives me some time to come up with some more Elf variants and anything else I can cram into the mold (maybe some alternate heads so people can convert Gondorians into Black Numenoreans or something).

Definitely interested in grabbing a lot of the Evil Men and it will be nice to see the Dwarves cast up.

First batch of the Galadhrim done! I'm not happy with these pics but I've still to do the foliage on the bases so I'll take final shots at a later date. Some touch up's required on the faces here and there as well.

Next up for these I'll be doing cavalry, great eagles and... conversions! I'll do a painting tutorial for a basic warrior too. In terms of conversions it will probably be an equivalent of the Guard of the Court or whatever they're called, elites basically. Also a banner bearer using the flag from the cavalry sprue.

I could use some basic plastic elf warriors for this army, I'll hit the trading forum to try and find some.

So... the Fallen Dwarves!

At the moment I'm spending a lot of time on my own setting but I have an alternate reality version where these Dwarves exist in the world of Middle Earth (that's for another day, I need to spend time refining my little article on the subject).

Here's my initial casts of the character with some quick paint jobs (not my finest). If you want some keep an eye on my Miniatures of the North blog for details.

Here are a few prototype casts... the spears aren't ready for full production yet (sorry Crucium Gieger, some casting issues to resolve then production molds) along with some flame thrower teams: in universe a “greek Fire” hand cranked siphon type device (believe it or not actually a real thing, a flamer thrower from ye olden times: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_fire_ )

I really want to make some grenadiers now...

Few more things up my sleeve for the Fallen Dwarves in the near future so watch this space (err or my miniatures of the north blog).

Love those Dwarves! And the evil men! They will probably be my Black Numenorians as they look far better than GW's

Greek fire was most often used via catapults (hurled firepots) or using a ship mounted pressurised device known as a Sambuca (not the BAZ00KA in case of any confusion).

haha, yes of course! I even realise the absurdity of the Dwarves holding the containers, they will potentially be hot. Handwaved... this is fantasy.

Brilliant miniatures as always, lots of character without OTT posing. I was actually applying a bit of glue this evening so will have something to show soon - and yes I'm looking forward to those spears :)
