hey all

here's another dwarf that i just painted up:

Image

he is not quite finished yet as my detail-painting brush is dead so I couldnt do all the fine stuff (like the eyes) :(

the vault wardens are looking quite good but I'm having problems gluing the iron shields together

i also decided to make to make some Rohan scenery for my uruks to kill rohan in. I started out making a basic square tower but it sort of evolved into being quite a large multi-level command tower. here's a picture:

i will probaly be doing some green stuff in the next update :D

Nice tower frame. I strongly advise you reinforce it by making triangles around corners with spare wood. It will greatly redice the chance of your tower collapsing.

thanks guys! :D :-D

@gothmog the werewolf: are you sure? its pretty strong already as i used a hot glue gun and some pretty sturdy balsa wood... did you mean the horizontal corners or the verticle ones?

Yeah, a good flesh wash or even just watered down Bestial Brown would go a long way on the faces.

thanks john :-D . i would use a wash on them but the only washes that i would use on him are GW's new ones, i find these new ones unspeakably naff as they make everything look like its been unevenly glossed :x .next time I will try a watered down bestial brown like shieldmaiden said 8)
thanks for the constructive critisism though :) .

heres a bit of progress on the rohan tower. i have finished the structure and started on the walls and details:

the front door:

the back:

has anybody got any idea how i could make one of the walls removable?
otherwise it could get pretty hard to game in

Post subject:  Re: SidTheSloth's WIP :-D (28/8) More Rohan command tower

Now that's impressive. Your scenery skills are really coming on Sid!

I'd make a detachable wall on its own base, and then perhaps thread some string through the ends of it to tie around the tower as rope :)
