Had a little accident with the sculpt this morning - it kinda slipt out of my hand while i was sculpting. He lost a pinky, i replaced it with a new one already. I have to try to improve the fingers a bit more. And still need to try and get a hanging sleeve on the other arm - i tryd b4 but it always failed a bit. So gotta c if i can get it right next time.
I added a little pouch on his belt and a necklace.
Sneek peak on my new comic project :-)

also putted my fell beast wings in the dettol with some gobs - hoping the paint get off - (i thined the dettol so it might not work as good as normally)

started adding some legs on a legless warg i got from Eothen. Still needs more dettail. But i needed a rough base to start working on first.
Glued my dragon and added greenstuff to fill up the parts that didn't close up well enough.
And yes the pictures are sliced up a bit - probably bad connection somewhere in the cable again for my device that put's the photo's from camera to computer.

small update on the dragon - made a base with an old spinosaur skeletton i had laying around. Mom did some cleaning and the glued parts came of - since it was just standing there and wasn't well balanced either - it got knocked over at ease

Fantastic base on the dragon, it really makes the switch from pet to (almost) monster! Love the idea with the spinosaur!

Nice wraith and warg-legs!! Keep it up! :-)

I haven't checked out this thread in a while, I've missed quite a lot! You've come on leaps and strides since I last saw you, your sculpting is amazing!

Very nice, I love the skeleton on the dragons base :yay: The wraith is also cool, you're really getting good at the sculpting thing. Keep up the good work!

Feels like i am slacking down on painting a bit lately. But i still do something with my mini's now and then.
I finally got the mini's stripped down that still had paint on them to be removed. It worked in the thined dettol. Just needed to rest in it much longer.
The witch king finally rises again - still gotta greenstuff the wings a bit.

Been putting a lick of paint on my dragon.

Add the goblins to my to paint batch:

Yes that's all i have left to paint for now. On top some feral uruks i got for B-day some days ago from a friend. The warg who's leggs were fixed.
I am kinda glad that most things are prepared to be painted now. Still need to do plenty of work on those i started painting.. I am just switching a bit between this and other stuff i have to do. So it's going slowley.

I don't get it, you sculpt this lovely dragon, paint it all up and then pay 50 euro's for a GW one?!?

Author:  garmenhord [ Fri Oct 12, 2012 8:07 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: garmenhords work...

Well - i didn't throw mine away. The GW dragon was like much cheaper... I don't give lots of money to GW. I mostly go for 2nd handed or good deals.
I think the price tag was 46 euro or something for the dragon in the store. (The store i used to go always had prices lower then GW ones.)
It's a metal one - so i think that's a must have nowadays with all the fartcast.
I payed 40 euro for: a GW dragon, round bases from something non GW don't remember what, leather vambraces (price is still on it 50 euro), and some fabric glove like things to wear under it around 12 euro worth, one pack of GW movement trays.. I am thinking if there was anything more but i think that was it. So let's say a good deal. The store was closing up so it was like 50 percent off. If C to what i got, kinda sure i had more shortage then that. There was a balrog to - but someone else had that one. He didn't had lots of lotr stuff in stock.

Glad u licked my dragon, i will continue sculpting. But i need to paint a bit more first.

I am going to facts - a comic convention. Last year they had some cheap mini's laying around. I didn't buy alot back then because i had like way to much to paint. So if there are still leftovers this year that i really want i better buy them. Think i payed like 4 euro for a sprue of rohan riders back then.
Must also pay visit to the Tolkien store on facts. Just to bad they have high prices for their products. But u can find some cool Lotr stuff in there.
