great job on the banner.. quick question, do you use a really heavy gloss varnish? I would like to see a model of yours without it if possible..

Nice! The free hand on the banner looks incredible, and the orc looks nice and orcish :yay:

No they weren't even varnished yet - if it shines then it might be for following reasons : a) not everything was dry when i took the picture b) i take photo's with flash that lightens up the whole thing

:) Ty for the comments all - just got back from the sea, i hope to be painting again soon :)

ty, and no :-) They stand on top of the wine box. The wood in the back is from the planches beneath the window. I noticed that i got good light at that place for taking pictures. I should get a nice cabinet to stuff mini's in! Don't think my parents will let me get one. Unless i find it cheap.

Nice Orcs. :) The green you love so much helpt tie them in a bit, they remind me of those Minas Morgul / Angmar ones that GW painted up.

Did some paint work on mister Frodo, not to happy with how he turned out. Wanted to make the sword light up. Didn't really worked like this. Maybe the base might help out a bit to create the effect;

I think the OSL has worked amazingly tho the quality of the photo doesn't help the effect. I would have another go re-photographing - outside if possible with a piece of neutral coloured paper for a background. This miniature is well painted and the glow effect IS nice work. Re-take the photo mate :)

I agree, the OSL lloks good from behind at least, probably from the front too.

Painted some more orcs today in the store :-D . Will finish them off tomorrow - they still need some little touches and probably an extra wash with brown. I also finished off frodo's base that really helps the effect of the light. . I ll post some pictures then

better picture on Frodo - looks cool - the OSL is effective. The orcs are great - what colour did you use on their skin?

Post subject:  Re: garmenhords work...

ty DMS, the orcs have various colours i just mixed up some stuff so i don't remember all.. but there are some with rotting flesh or regular skintone mixed up with codex gray for sure.
I think some with skintone and green and a few with skintone and bestial brown.. just not sure on those... I was just mixing up some stuff to get a bit of variation.

They look cool mate - I'm in the middle of a load of orcs to at the moment and am trying to invent skintones for them, I've just been mixing loads of random colors together. What you painting next then?

Still got about 6 of them left. Since i had 24 of them. After those i got some more goblins (dunno the amount for sure i tought it was around 12) awaiting and rohan guys (6 mounted and about 12 on foot). Then i only got the fellbeast left and grishknah and i am trough my to paint mini's... :(

*edit seemed to make miscount 12 orcs left. :D
