Having spent hours, days, weeks, months sculpting individual scales...

I actually know a good short cut method that is very effective.

Get some old lace or netting.
Put a layer of putty on the dragon then press the netting into it.
Remove the netting.
Tadaaaah!

Bit like what i am doing now with the sponge like thing :-) I tryd to make something similar like u did on the belly of the dragon but it failed. A well, not interesting to have a little copy of ur version. Should come up with my own version ;-)

Nice, the dragon is coming along great (and not to mention fast). What color have you thought for his scales? Role on the next update! 8)

Dunno for colours so far - i think the end result might determine the colours. Ye the milliput dry's much faster then the greenstuff. But i am going to slow down now because it's greenstuff parts now. I made two basic paws on his arms. Need to add details and then the other paws and the jaw. Was thinking about adding some extra wing like things on the back of his legs; or spikes running over the spine. Not sure yet. Going for paws and jaw first.

Nice sculpting! You're really good at it ;D
And for the flash, don't use it, just make photo's close 2 a window (or outside), then you'll get way better pictures ;D

My desk is beneath a window - and most of the time the pictures look at their best with flash. Witouth flash they tend to blur. Even with no objects in background.

Small update of the greenstuffing of today. I think the detailling of those will be hard. I will need to add extra's like horns or something, to dinosaur like for now :-)

Very nice body. The only problem, that I can see, that the body is too simply. You should make some muscles also.

U are right, i noticed it b4.
I had some but when making the scales on the skin it got covered up - so might add some extra parts later on - some accents here and there.
I don't want the dragon become to fat. So i ll add them later if still possible. Ty for the link, might be handy when i get to that.

Yeah. For example, at the neck, there are very nice looking muscles, like on the horses.

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/Warhammer_Monsters Forgeworld has a lot of nice monsters also.

Very good. Both the horses' shemes and your sculpture.

I think your dragon looks like a Therizinosaurus with small claws atm, as you say.

Here he is with teeth on one side - more dinosaur then ever:

I also noticed something funny - when u put him on his feed:

Luckely for me i was planning to put him on rocks anyway. Like he is sneaking up on a prey. I made some example in what direction it will go - still need to get cheap clay to do that.

Oh and i did try to carve in the flesh to recreate some muscles - but it failed a bit.

looking good so far, I imagine when the wings are attached he'll look more Dragon-like. I might have to do my own scratch build now...
