Woah Boromir's pose is amazing, very well done conversion!

And a little late, great job on the banner aswell, it is a pretty complex freehand and you managed to do a great job on it!

So far so good, and it's not painted yet! (which usually makes it look better :) )

very nice pose! great conversion. I got a boromir double but i guess it's the wrong pose to pull off something good like that :) unless i cut of like maybe 75 percent of his body

Another busy week which has seen me receive even more figures and making almost no painting progress whatsoever! Gonna have to stop using ebay for a while...

Here's my progress on my Boromir conversion. I'm more or less satisfied with the way he came out, I'm annoyed by his cloak though. Really gotta practice modelling cloaks more!

Thanks for looking!

You have the right idea with the cloak. You just need to work on the folds. Have them smaller at the top than they are at the bottom and have the lines less severe. Silicone Clay shapers will help if you have them, rather than metal tools

Thanks everyone!

Final update on Bormir and Gamling; both are now based and I spent a bit more time on some little decorations for their respective bases.

Gamling (with Uruk helmet and broken mace / Rohan shield)

Boromir foot and mounted (my first ever and latest conversion)

Boromir's base with a 'burial mound' (skull, broken shield, rusty sword)

Thanks for watching!

Next up... Where shall I even start?!

I'd be honest I much prefer your Gamling. I think he is great, the highlights and shading look so real. But I think the color of the sand on his base isn't suitable. This is obviously subjective.

I'll be honest, so do I. I think the difference in quality between metal models (Gamling) and plastic/amateur green stuff (Boromir) is huge! Unfortunately, I don't have any other sand and I'm too lazy to drybrush every model I finish! Also, it suits the rest of my cavalry models... Thanks for your input though!

I love this conversion! It's looks top notch. He looks very natural on his steed there and the paint is superb, great work man.

I love the pose of mounted Boromir, ready to slash at an orc!

I think from observing your painting over some time that it's getting better every time, but if I could offer one bit of advice it would be to perhaps put less paint on the brush (even wipe some off before painting), or use less harsh transitions between shades. Otherwise looking good. :)
