Not sure whether this question should go in this section of forum or in the campaigns bit? Anyway: In SBG you can obviously play through the journey books linked campaigns, and the heroes can recover might, will, fate and wounds between games... What happens to the bad guys? Can they recover similarly? Here I am thinking primarily of the ringwraiths through the FOTR journeybook, but the same question may apply to other bad guys later in the trilogy tale. Any thoughts? I don't think so, evil usually gets fully refreshed. |

Rereading my answer I see the confusion. I'm thinking of the campaigns in Shadow in the East and Fall of the Necromancer: for the Good side there are rules for recovery of Wounds, Might, Will and Fate between scenarios, and there is no guarantee you'll recover them all. Whereas evil starts each game fresh and loaded. So, no |

If I remember correctly, the "Ride of the Ringwraiths" campaign in White Dwarf had rules for Ringwraith recovery between scenarios. I don't have the magazines here at work, so I may be wrong... I had been thinking of playing the Ride of the Ringwraiths linked to the FotR journeybook. The Ringwraiths would ride through Gondor, Rohan and Sarn Ford and start appearing then in the FotR scenarios until the Ford of Bruinen. When neither side is guaranteed to recover fully, both sides would be so bruised and battered at Bruinen that they could hardly stand. Evil not recovering fully in the FotR scenarios might pose a problem to the play balance if the scenarios are designed and playtested to work best with full-powered Ringwraiths. -- Pasi |

I agree with, Pasi. The scenarios were designed with fully powered Ringwraiths in mind, and wouldn't function as well if Evil did not recover. I dont see any reason why Good should recover, and Evil should not. Josh |
