| Post subject: | Help with Woodland Elves |
Hello, I am planning on starting to collect Lorien elves. I have a few questions As I want to start small,I think I'll get the wood elf sentinels. 1. Should I wait until GW rolls out better/new miniatures? (These are metal) 2. Is there a place where I can see the colors I need to paint them with? I have no idea what colors to use(Is this in the rulebooks?) 3. If I like them, what should be my next step? Thank you people!

1. I don't think we will ever see replacement miniatures for the sentinels. If you don't like working with metal you might considering getting a box of Mirkwood rangers to use as proxies for the sentinels. 2. If you want a guide to paint them to look like they do on the website I don't think there are any guides. The older ones that were released around the time the miniatures were new are out of print and had differently named GW paints from back then. From what I can see on GW's website I'd say you need a selection of grey-greens, grey-blues, and dark browns. You can really paint them however you like though. There might be some good schemes over in the Work in Progress forum on in the Help with Painting. 3. Your next step for Lorien should be some basic troops, a box of wood elf warriors, and a some heroes like the wood elf command team or Celeborn and Galadriel. |
