Hey guys!
I am new to the hobby, and i just painted up my Mordor half of the Pellenor field sett. I can see now, that Orcs are very static, they palystyle is more deffensive. I already started thinking about, how can I make the faster, but also about ana rmy, that is basicly fast.

My first thought was Thranduils halls with Iron Hills, so I can have a front line in fron tof my archery, and a breaking force with the cavalry, but they are too expensive for me. So I would like to have an army, that is fast, has a bit of magic, and I can protect my archery, also I can make 1 or two alliances for diversity.

Can someon tell me a affordable list with elfs and their alliances?

Hi There, I would recommend Lothlorien if you are on a budget as they have a good variety of plastic troops supplemented by small amount of metal heroes so it works out pretty cheap in comparison. They have armoured troops, Archers, cavalry, elites as well as magic and can ally with a few other factions too.

I don't have my army book to hand so I can't make you an exact list but here is one for Lorien from memory.

It's just under 700pts and incorporates the fight value and shooting strengths of the elves with the higher strength of the Helmingas to create a sold damage dealing battle line and brings in outriders to grab some objectives or run around the board while the main line is fighting. Galadriel and the CCG should be able to tag team with Grimbold to threaten larger heroes too. The downside is that the army isn't very flexible and, while it can function without being all in one place, it is going to do best when warbands 1 and 3 are together. It could be tweaked a bit to replace the Rohan infantry with a cavalry band led by Theodred or Erkenbrand to get more out of the Rohan army bonus too.
