Having faced this army or ones very similiar to it and playing elves myself, I would have to say that this is a very solid army. The battering ram and the ruffins would not be much benefit unless you were looking for meat shields. Saruman is a very solid player, he has destroyed many an elf on my tables. Lurtz is probably one of the better hunters in the game.

I would say that played right, this army will do well at tournaments.

i would take the ruffian company out and the battering ram and put in 1 or 2 more companies of warriors

I would definetely expand the size of the legendary formations, 1 company is really not good for a formation that costs so much. I'm with dropping the the battering ram and the ruffians and I would also say one of the trolls and expand the legendaries.

I'm not sure the Uruk-hai Sappers are good enough to be worth the risk of fielding them. If they got suffer only four casualties from shooting they'll explode, most likely next to all your own troops, as you won't of had enough time to move them ahead of your army.

You could just field them behind your troops and then rush them into combat with a large formation whilst the rest of your uruks rush off and cover their ears.

A waste of a large formation, and it's still risky.

"Too risky, it's too risky! The fat one, he knows!" :gollum: (just came to mind...) :)

I find it's boring to play safe all the time. I play to have fun and sometimes taking risks is fun. I'd hate to be a hard-core gamer who plays only to win. Just my two cents.

Yes, but it's fun to win, and not much fun to lose.

But you are much more competitive than me (sometimes I think even you regret being that competitive.).
