Well...Black Dart can be used to take important units like enemy Banner Bearers, but don't overuse it.
Any pesky heroes can be taken care of with Transfix and Compel.
Also it would be best to keep it quite close to fighting, but making sure it still has moderate protection, so that it can use it Habringer of Evil rule to the fullest, and doing acouple of Drain Courage spells once the enemy is broken can change a game.

All for 55 points. :-D

Best use is to Transfix heroes for others to take him down or Drain Courage a couple of times, break the army and watch the hero run, and keep him around at end game at all costs to keep your army together and reduce enemy courage by 1.

Get a extra heroic point, as those come in handy.
Spells:
Black Dart: Target Hero Steeds, Banners,
Compel: Draw Heroes into combat and mob, disable banner (by getting it to kneel down).
Transfix: Weaken Heroes for mobbing.
Drain Courage: Weaken enemy Hero courage.
Special Rules:
Terror: Lessen charges at Ringwraith.
Harbinger of Evil: Weaken enemy Warrior courage, lessen charges at Ringwraith.

Also an inportant thing to keep in my is that always I MEAN ALWAYS give Your Spellcaster A horse. It cannot be streched how valueable is having your Nazgyl be able to support the whole army in different places.

But as noted above the basic costs 55pts, don´t expect it do to any real damage, as the main things it is able to do is a couple of transfixes and Drain courages here and there...

So it is quite valuable to consider maxing out his M/W/F as he can be do more damage to your enemy´s army.

hithero's right, that's about all a Ringwraith can do. It does both of those very well though!

Meh, black dart can be very useful to pick of banners and wounded heroes too.

Black dart, nah, hardly ever. Casting them takes huge cost in Will to pull of.

Depends how much will you have to spare, if you have a couple of wraiths and/or your opponent has few heroes you'll often find yourself with a good few will points left especially if you took the witchking or the undying.

Even so, it takes on average 5+ Will to cause 1 wound and if fielding 2 named wraiths thats a lot of points used up in an army where you would find your army defeated instead. It would be much easier to reduce a heroes Courage and break the army.

Of course it totally depends on the scenario being played. I've had Black Dart used against me in contest of champions and so my opponant could blow his Will in taking mine down and he did, before Arvendui could even draw his sword. Likewise I've taken out super-hard Dain with Drain Courage. Both examples of 700pt GT competitions.

Played a game yesterday.... Had Dark Marshal on horse, and in his army my opponent had 2 banners, Gil-Galad and Elendil both mounted. I had such dilemmas whether to kill the banner bearer or shoot down the horses. Well i did kill Eledinls horse first, with two will, (10 left) afther that i used another blck dart..cast with 2 will....rolled a max of 4...added a might....woounding on a 3+....i rolled a 2..... :-X another might..... :(

Meaning i spent 4 will and 2 might only to kill two horses..... SO the points is when casting Black Dart I strongly suggest thinking twice or even more on the healthiness of your Ringwraith... It can be tempting but still it does burn a lot of will points...

You should really use 3 will to cast black dart and even if you fail to cast it I would never use a might point to cast it unless I was really, really desperate. I've seen in small matches where there is only one hero in the enemy force, the ringwraith slay a captain with only black dart before combat and have will to spare.

With some lucky rolls 2 is enough, and well i guess I was desperate but it was just an example of how good a Ringwraith can or cant be...

I did kill Elendil by trnasfixinf him, and charging with Spider Queen, but Gil Galad proved to be too powerful...although i was stupid positioning Kardush and the DM, but I sure did learn a lot from that battle

Black Dart is very much like Sorcerous Blast. Such a temptation and when the dice treat you well it can have a great impact on the game. But you need to decide how important it is to you. I've had a couple "just for grin" casts of both and managed to roll a lucky six, and other times I'll commit three Will because I "really need" the spell to go off and end up casting a bunch of 1s or 2s. You can try to stack the odds in your favor with more dice but be careful about planning any army's strategy around the success of certain spells.

Exactly what I think.
My friend always takes ring wraiths.
He uses sap will on 2 or 3 dice as soon as he is in casting range of my heroes.
This seems to be very effective because if you fail to resist you lose all your will, if you resist it with one dice you are likely to fail, if you use 2 dice to resist you have lost 2 will to 3 of his.

In the end I just take Radagast or Gimli with elven cloak to avoid this major inconvenience.

MM might aswell use Glorfindel cause he can always resist magic regardless of hos actual "Will" store, or as you said yes Radagast, who can also reist alot of magic....with his free will points but an elven cloack is an interesting coutering idea

Against Nazgul, I would put my hero behind quite a few troops to keep him out of LoS and then getting him in combat quick screening him from the nazgul with lots of troops. It worked very well last time I used Elrond.
