Hello and Merry Christmas (I know I'm a bit late). So I've been lurking around these boards for (shamefully) about a year but this Christmas I felt a push to join so I did. It feels nice to be de-lurked and I look forward to the New Year and Hobbity goodness in new releases.

To give a bit of background, I'm an avid fan of all things Middle Earth and view Tolkien as a bit of a hero. I started off my hobby life with a great interest in one of my relatives' miniatures. Then 5 Christmases ago, I got Warhammer 40k Assault on Black Reach from said family member. It was great but soon (1 month later) I had finished painting and played a few games from the set and then got increasingly intrigued by the Lord of the Rings range in my local Games Workshop. So I popped in one day, picked up some Rangers of Middle Earth and everything took off from there.

I shall say now I have never played a proper game of SBG in my life and instead I am a painter and collector who, although has little knowledge of playing the game, still loves to collect and paint proper armies as well as just bits and bobs from different factions.

I have an ever increasing collection of miniatures ranging from some of the oldest (Escape from Orthanc Wizards, Original Fellowship, Metal Army of the Dead box) to the very latest (Mirkwood Rangers, Palace Guards and Barrels out of Bond).

I think I would like to set up a WIP so if you want you can keep an eye out for that. In the meantime I'll see you around the boards :)
