| Post subject: | First Age Elves Kitbash Advice |
Greetings, Been a long, long time since I posted on here and in that time I have accomplished little in the way of bringing my First Age Miniatures dream to life. Hopefully in the coming months that will change and I may even begin a WIP. My question today is regarding the right kitbash to create my Noldor Warriors. I know everyone has their own idea as to the proper presentation of the arms and armour of the first age, and I respect that. Personally I find myself using the art of Elena Kukanova and Jenny Dolfen as my inspiration. I like the mix of plate and chain in a convincing mix of history and fantasy. Currently my plan is to combine the bodies of Fireforge Games Templar/Teutonic infantry/knights with the heads arms and shields of the Oathmark Plastic elves. However, I recently was tempted by the idea of combining Fireforge Byzantine Spearmen with the Oathmark elves instead. This option would require sourcing some cloaks from somewhere. I would like the communities input before I splurge on the required boxes to a starting force of infantry. Since two boxes are needed at minimum to build one box worth of models I wanted some outside support before proceeding. Thanks for any feedback. |
