Well the question is in the title, i have never done it before, and i don't have a clue what to do. So if someone could please tell me what i can can't strip (aka metal or plastics), what i need, where to get it, what to do, it would be very helpful.
Thanks in Advance.

There are still more posts about it if you search, I just linked to the ones that seemed to be the most helpful/had the most replies.
That should probably help. :-D

Toothpaste (the grittier the better), Dettol, Simple Green and the like are all safe and very good.

Oh yeah, another thing, is it still possible to strip them if they are varnished (gloss)?

I asked the same thing in a thread a while ago, I didn't get much response but I think that it was said that it would work. I think it might just be a thing to try out yourself on a test mini to see if it works. 8)

As far as I know it works, but if there is superglue that is stained with paint, you can;t get that off using paint-removal met

Yes, so anyway i tried using something in my garage that was STRONGER than Meths, i put Hama and a WOMT (1 metal, 1 plastic). After 3 hours Hama was totally cleaned, just needed a wash, but the WOMT had dissovled bar a small lump of plastic that did not in any way resemble a warrior in full metal armour.

I'm going to use Dettol i think, that video was pretty convincing.

Prurple Power from Wal Mart works wonders on metal and plastic figures. Doesn't harm either and removes paint in 24 hours

Store brand antiseptic (neat) also works quite well. I've got some which is about a year old and it still strips the paint off most minis after a day of soaking.
