Sorry guys, I have tried following the instructions on the site but I have had no luck uploading an Avatar I can post an image on photobucket. If there is anyone out there of a strong teckie leaning, would it be possible that you could leave me a "how to post an Avatar for Dummies" instruction? Regards from a bewildered Bilbo! |

After you upload a picture to photobucket click on the image to view it. It should give you three or so links, 1. an img link used for posting pics on forum threads. 2. direct link - this is the link you need to copy and paste into the avatar url in the profile section of the user control panel here on the One Ring. If you are already doing this and it is still not working then the image may be too large. have a go at doing this and if your still having problems then shoot me a pm with a link to the picture you would like and I'll see if i can sort something out for you. |

Thanks DMS, I shall dig out a suitable image over the weekend. It may even involve painting a Bilbo miniature, which somewhat Ironically I have not yet done! |
