I've been listening to the new Deftones, I think it's one of their best cds - which is saying something for being around as long as they have.

Other than that I listen to Tool, Rage Against the Machine (and One Day As A Lion), Clutch, Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, Saul Williams, Led Zeppelin, Bon Iver and ISIS (with tons of other little-known post-rock/metal bands).

@Longbottom Leaf: have you heard the new Arcade Fire yet? I've enjoyed the first album a lot, the second was good but not as interesting IMHO, so I'm not sure if I should pick up this one...

I used to think Alestorm was funny, untill I saw them play live in November...huge dissapointment. Probably the most boring show I've ever been too. :/

If you like a deep bass electro sound then look for Portishead and their album Dummy - Simply fantastic.
Enjoying Elbow at present though my likes are somewhat ecclectic, ranging from Clannad to Marilyn Manson...

I've recently been getting into a bit of DMX and we the kings (yes I know they're practically on the opposite ends of the spectrum but still).

Now say that part about the screaming again.xD Christopher lee is narrator of their stories on the albums and he sung on one of their songs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZDc0js-m2Q&ob=av3e Christopher lee does some epic singing in this song.:)

Eric Clapton, Tommy Emmanuel, Slava and Leonard Grigoryan, Tchaikovsky.....

To name a few.

Coldplay. Yes.

Muse. Yes.

...is it just me or do modelling and hard rock/metal go hand in hand? I can't stand that stuff ^^

Yes they do go hand in hand, and I think the explanation is that both modellers and heavy metal listeners are minorities, which are often regarded as strange people. :P I don't mind being strange though, I'm loving every second of it.^^
