Awesome! Thanks for sharing, I've already seen the Bard and the Bilbo picture but I've been wondering what they did with Stephen Fry for a while, I know they used green-screen, motion capture AND a ton of make-up on him for some reason. He looks amazing, just like the Master of laketown should be - a slimey sneaky individual out for himself... and fat!

It's probably the lighting, but the Master of Laketown looks greenish.

The top photo is just screaming out for an archery contest!

Bard looks like the character from The Princess Bride ('Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die....'). Stephen Fry looks a bit sweaty in that picture.

HA! If Bard is HALF as bloody cool as Inigo was, I can live with that 8)

Not living in Britain I may not "get it" but I saw on some film sites a lot of Brits whining about the ubiquity of Stephen Fry. I like him; I like his performance and I like his general sense about most things. To me, more of a good thing isn't bad but I don't know... Are there any of you guys that hate seeing him in The Hobbit?

I must admit Billy Connolly and Stephen Fry might be a bit of a let down for me in the hobbit. The fact they are comedians and well known faces in the UK might result in seeing them in preference to the characters they are supposed to be playing. They are both larger then life people and hence their character might dominate the role.

Having said that, Billy Connolly has done good straight roles so perhaps I am worrying over nothing.

To me Bard looks more like Will Turner than Inigo Montoya.

The only thing I dislike about Stephen Fry is his smug left of centre political opinions. I love his voice acting work though. Reaver in the Fable video game series is a great character.

Indeed, which is why I got confused - I was thinking: Joh Rhys Davies playing Treebeard was fine, it was a voice, but using Orlando Bloom twice visually?
