@ Sid the Sloth -- I'm not sure how to score your entry. Did you trade FOR those miniatures, or trade them AWAY?

Sorry, guys. I had to go out of town last week and I forgot to update this when I got back. A dramatic reversal for Thorin, and phenomenal work by Lord Hurin. Good luck for the next month!

Too late to join this? Based on the way Thorin is buying, even a 2-month headstart might not be insurmountable. :-D

If so, I'll submit a March report at the end of the month.

Cheers Jonathan! Hope the journey out of town was for pleasure, rather than business! :)

I traded them away :)

Okay, got your score updated for this month.

@Lord Hurin -- It was a mix of the two. Was at a training conference, but took the wife with me (and left Mini-Me with the grandparents). Also, got to catch up with some old friends.

I am going to get smashed this month, I went a little crazy on Ebay and Gumtree (a local site). 27 Miniatures bought so far, 44 on their way in the post and 40 more to pick up on Saturday!

Better pull the paints out tonight...

This month isn't shaping up well for me at all.

I have already purchased 144 figures and painted 0.

I'm pleased though as my collection is getting close to complete in terms of metals etc.

Well, thus far this month...

As previously mentioned, thirteen Goblin Town goblins done.
Ten D&D miniatures brought up to gaming standard (some were prepaints from the Dungeon Command set whose paint jobs were...uh, crude), others were half finished from last year. All now painted and based and ready to go. As usual, I think they represent about half a point's worth.

However, I just ordered 24 plastic corsairs opportunistically. They'll beat my total back down :)

Onwards. Setting up to paint another 13 goblins starting tomorrow.

Gavin

PS: I also touched up five other figures for a D&D game - random Dark Sword Miniatures figures - which had gotten scuffed in transit. But they don't count. Just glad to have them at gaming standard again.

Just finished my massive Goblin band - 35 Goblin Town Goblins (don't know where the last of the little blighters went!) along with Grinnah, the tiny Captain and the Great Goblin himself. I did them in pale green with red cloth to better complement my Moria Goblins. Along with the 3 mounted Nazgul and 3 on foot from the beginning of the month, I'm at 49 points at just over halfway through. No purchases either, which is nice.

On to my plastic Wood Elves, of which I've found a few more. Should have 20-odd to do. Here's hoping they'll be complete before month's end!

Well, another thirteen goblins done. Going to do the last twelve or so between now and the weekend. Then it's time to actually get that mines of Moria set my friend wants to give me. Progress!

Ugh. I'm not making much progress at all this month. I'm predicting a marathon painting session this weekend to make up for it.

Ahh I've done more typing than painting around these parts but I can finally lock in 10 Goblins finished! I am planning a trip to Games Workshop Sunday so hopefully I'm still in front for the month!

I have been painting!! However, I have mostly been adding to models already painted. I took my Goblintown army to a tournament, and did some work on the goblins and king, especially the weapons and bases. Now I'm working on some Berserkers, but not finished them yet. Hoping that by the end of the month I'll be able to add 12 or so models to the list!

I did paint a gollum though.

And I bought a lump of metal from GW before they all go OOP.

Bought:
2 Arwen foot and mount
1 Saruman mounted
2 Thryden Wolfsbane foot and mount
Spider Queen
6 Uruk Crossbows
1 Armoured Glorfindel
2 Sons of Eorl
6 Khazad Guard
1 Wild Warg Chieftan

6 Fell wargs

Just painted a bit of scenery for the Dwarves n' Goblins Oh My project (aka the War of the Dwarves and Orcs, aka, let's use up all the Goblin Town bits n' bobs). Should have the most of the remaining seventeen or so Goblins done tomorrow or Monday evening. One of the remaining Goblins has been converted into a captain, and four will be kept aside to go with the Great Goblin whenever I get around to painting him.

Next month, with much relief, I'll paint the Radagast, and then some Northman mercenaries.
