Unless they have changed majorly since I last used them no. GW brushes are the worst I have used. It was 3-4 years ago tho, so things may have changed. But general consensus is that 'artist' brushes are always better than 'hobby' brushes.

ok, i have just gone down to my local art store, and i found the winsor and newton brushes but, there were several categories, i was a little confused, so i didn't buy anything.

Also, within the water color category, there was the cotman brushes, i think these are the ones that most people get.
here is the link to the cotman brushes
http://www.winsornewton.com/products/br ... rt-handle/
again i'm pretty sure these are the ones, because they have the triple 0's, and double 0's and i heard these are the ones that most people get.

so comments please, i need an answer rather quickly!
thanks a lot
your help is much appreciated

Not sure about those. I was recommended the Kolinsky Sable Series 7 brushes and I have one or 2 of those and they are pretty awesome.

Another option that are around half the price of hte series 7, and per the gentleman at my local artists supply store just as good (and we're talking for professional artists here) are the Stratford & York Balmoral 700 brushes. Also top quality Kolinsky Sable, ~10$ locally for the standard 00/000 sizes vrs over $20 on average for the series 7. I got mine for 63% off, $3 for a 00, made my day!
