A very neat 'potted history' of hobbits and their place in Middle-earth. Maybe a few more references to Tolkien's books would be useful so readers could go to the source material to get more information on a particular hobbit, location or event.

Thanks all... :D

I've had it hanging around for so long that I'd forgotten all about it...now, I would footnote it to death - and back!

There may be another on its way in the not too distant future, so any other comments on improvements would be much appreciated!

All the best,

SD.

A well constructed article about an interesting race, thanks for taking the time on it. My only criticism would be (as Dorth mentioned) to possibly include a few more references to your sources if anyone needed to do further research.

Even if you know the stories and the background of such things in Middle Earth, it (for me), is always nice to read such things in a 'different' way !

Well laid out, nice background research...enjoyed it !
